Biography

Gerwin is a 21-year-old drum & bass producer from Bordeaux, France. Gerwin has been producing music for most of his life – ‘I first started playing the guitar when I was 12 and I’m still playing. I really discovered drum & bass and electronic music when I was around 17 and started producing when I was 19′. Having already developed a sound for himself, Gerwin describes his music as – ‘My music is “musical” before all. As I listen to a lot of music genres, from soul / jazz/ hip hop to classical / pop / rock, I really need to make dnb with more than a rolling beat and a bassline. To describe it in simple words, I think my music is smooth but fat at the same time, hopeful and definitely melodic’.

Gerwin recently took out the ‘Seba – Painted Sky’ Remix competition for Knowledge Magazine, and earned himself a 12″ release and a some amazing prizes from the likes of Abelton and Soundcloud. You can catch his debut on Silk – ‘My Hidden Side’ & ‘Superhero’ which is out now and has been reciveing some epic support from main room Dj’s within the scene.

Into the future who knows what flavours and music Gerwin will bring to the table, be sure of one thing – it will be musical and an amazing listening experince for all.
